Rebuilt the server (60+ systems) and PC (500 systems) environments within the bank, a medium sized credit card provider. Everything from teamwork, to technical standards, to processes and procedures was reformed. Implemented procedures such as maintenance windows, capacity planning and control, disaster recovery planning, server build standards, workstation images, budget reduction, and SLA policies when dealing with customers. Brought together five technical resources to work as a capable team while striving to deliver top quality customer service. Managed and implemented such projects as an Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 migration, Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 migration, Windows NT Domain to Active Directory, Windows 2003 domain controller upgrades, SAN implementation, anti-spam email gateways, Systems Management Server implementation and management, Windows XP desktop rollout planning and implementation, Sungard and building to building disaster recovery, and a server reallocation project. Member of the bank’s Computer Security Incident Response Team. Ensured that critical business initiatives were met with high quality solutions that met their requirements. Installed Linux based fax and PDF printers to quickly increase productivity at no cost to the business. Used capacity planning strategies to ensure that future growth in critical areas, such as file storage space, email capacity, and workstation management, were able to be met without downtime or strain, all while under strict budgetary requirements.

Lotus Notes Developer, Project Manager
Responsible for Lotus Notes and Domino development projects for a leading global bank. Performed programming in Notes formula language, LotusScript, JavaScript, XML, XSL, and HTML. Assigned as Project Manager for all team projects and issues. Responsible for the re-design of several major Notes applications for web enablement with customers world-wide, including London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Geneva, and Frankfurt. Implemented the Agile Method software development strategy enabling the team to react quicker to changing customer requirements. Rebuilt one of the bank’s primary tracking databases from the ground up into a new, easily supportable web based application. This database application allowed the business owners to control workflow based on business requirements rather than expensive application redesigns. Millions of dollars of bank transfer information was tracked monthly using this application.

Areas of concentration include Windows NT, intra-network design, Internet connectivity, and Lotus Domino installation, administration, and development. Recently designed an automated Lotus R5 upgrade migration tool for 1600 seats in thirty locations and implemented the Domino Server infrastructure for an E-Business initiative for Knoll Furniture. Also designed and re-installed the entire server farm at Mercantile Bank to improve availability, reliability, and ease of support, all with no end user downtime.
